Texture and merged Ztool

Hi ,

I think I am going mad. I created a high poly sculpt, lots of detail and poly paint and merged all the ztools into one mesh, now how do i go about getting the polypaint into a texture? I have looked at lots of tutorials and scoured forums on high to low poly, but my problem is I cannot reconstruct subdivisions on my high poly and I am stuck.

Any clever brains out there know the answer? I am probably being really stupid and its staring me right in the face.:stuck_out_tongue:

Duplicate your mesh as a subtool, remesh it at low poly, UV as desired, subdivide, and project all your hi poly detail and color onto it. Convert polypaint to texture.
