Is it possible to create text in ZBrush? As in, type it into a plugin and it’s automatically created? Or should I start creating stencils/alphas for each letter of the alphabet?

You would need to create alphas.

Rather than creating text within ZBrush, most people use one of these options:


  1. Only create the text when you need it, rather than pre-creating all the letters that you may or may not ever need.
  2. Use ZAppLink to send your canvas to Photoshop. There, put in the text you want, then bring it back to ZBrush.
  3. Use something like Elefont to create the letters that you need – again, as you need them.
