Tesselating an object

I’ve been playing with Zbrush all day, and I think I might be getting my head around it.

One thing I need to know how to do: Tesselate geometry. I have created a ZSphere object, which I have saved as a tool. Now I want to crank up the resolution for editing. I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. Any help? I suppose I could export it to 3ds max, meshsmooth it, then bring it back into ZBrush, but it seems like there should be an easier way.

Thanks!

With the model active, go to Tool>Modifiers>Deformation. First, click Divide. This will tesselate the mesh. Next, do a Smooth at 100%. This will average the points to smooth the shape. (Unless such a result is undesirable, that is.)

Thanks much!

and since youre using zspheres you can change the initial division setting for the derived mesh in the inventory settings of the zsphere tool using the density slider.

Cool. I did find that one, but the slider only goes to ‘4’

Anyway, thanks again!
