Hi there! This time I bring you a fan art sculpture based on a TB Choi’s Character design. I saw this cyber gorgon and couden’t help interpreting it. If you don’t know who she is or her work, please make you a favor and go check it right now. She’s a really tallented illustrator.
For this project I wanted to use the UVMaster tool hoping find an easier and speed way to paint my pieces (in part hyped by a Toolbag tutorial I read). Althoug it turn out really easy, the way it unwraps produces me some kind of TOC… It’s not for me because I need take over how it unwraps, sorry xDD. At the end it was a fight in which I lose but I don’t refuse use it again in the future for pieces not so finished
Both helmet and snake bagpack where made with ZModeler. I have to say that I absolutely love this tool. Whith it I created a modular brush to make this cyber snake bodies using curves. I should make some adjustments, but I think they work prety fine.
One thing I didn’t think before is extracting AO and Normals directly from Zbrush: after fighting against UVs, It took me really down watching how Substance made an AO and Normals projection mess. So, I made a research and found some ZB vids that help me with this problem.
I sculped it in A pose, so some folds appeared when I posed it. Even though, correcting it was easy. From now on, I’m sure I’ll add this step to my pipeline. Now I wanna print it
And here you have some final renders and turn arounds. I hope you like it!
