Hi there all! I am very proud to share the latest collectable I worked on with Wētā Workshop.
This to-date has been my most challenging sculpt. The amazing artistry of Jim Henson’s team in creating Tavra is astounding; every inch of her is carefully designed with such fine detail and complexity. For me it was a huge undertaking to do both Tavra and her original creators justice. I grew so much from this sculpt and the art direction pushing me further as a artist.
It takes an amazing team to bring a collectable to life and so I would like to give thanks and credit to Daniel Falconer for his concept design and Art direction, Richard Taylor for his amazing feedback during the sculpting process, Jane Wenley for her exceptional finishing touches provided to Tavra’s Face, the workshop team for physically making the base, cleaning, molding, casting and painting this collectable.
