I’m a total newb, so pardon my question if this is silly.
I’ve been recently trying to get into zbrush to sculpt human faces. I’m finding it a little frustrating though. It’s hard to sculpt things the way I want them.
This could be for any of these reasons:
- I have no prior real world sculpting experience
- I’m still a beginner at zbrush (I’ve watched some tutorials, including digital tutor’s intro to zbrush)
- I am using a mouse, not a tablet pen.
My question is how big of a disadvantage do you think #3 (using a mouse) is? I’m thinking of buying a tablet pen to see if it would dramatically improve my zbrush sculpting ability. Do you think it will? Is using a mouse with zbrush the same as trying to mow a lawn with scissors?
And finally, I know everyone here recommends the Wacom Intuous. But anyone out there using other tablets with zbrush and happy with it?
Thanks for your help!
