Tablet option grayed out

Dear reader,

I have downloaded the latest driver from the official Wacom website for my Cintiq 22HD. It works perfect with Photoshop and anything else but when I try to use it in ZBrush, well, activate my device by going to the “Tablet” option it is grayed out.

I tried redownloading and installing the drivers. I tried putting ZBrush to my other window, resizing et cetera but nothing is helping.

I am using a Macintosch with OSX Lion (clean install).

Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I am using ZBrush 4R5.

Honestly I don’t remember a time when that option wasn’t greyed out. Its greyed out on mine too and has been through many iterations of ZBrush but my tablet works just fine. Any settings you want to adjust you’ll want to do in Wacom’s tablet settings in the Wacom utility on your Mac.

Wow this is interesting. I’m running the latest Mac OSX 10.8.4 with a Cintiq 22HD as well. I just discovered an interesting thing with the tablet settings in Zbrush.

If you click on Preferences -> Tablet with a mouse then the settings are all greyed out and non-adjustable. However once I use my tablet pen to do the selecting it’s not greyed out. If you open the settings with your mouse and then bring your pen within range of the tablet screen it’s no longer greyed out.
