Symmetry

When openig symmetry any time I find that the symmetry is always vertical vs horizontal even with the x and m button activated in transform. Is their a quick fix for this instead of having to rotate the subject every time? Thanx in advance.

This is going to depend on what position in the worldspace your mesh is in. If it’s aligned along the X-axis vertically, then X will be the vertical axis for symmetry. If the current rotation/positioning bothers you, you will have to rotate your mesh (transform in the worldspace, not just with camera navigation).

Obviously this would be something that would be easier to do at the beginning of a project, rather than in the middle. When creating a mesh from a primitive or otherwise, turn on the floor grid to visualize the axes and position it as desired.
