I imported a T-pose symmetrical figure but it isn’t perfectly lined up with the X, Y and Z axes in ZBrush. There’s no way for me to position the figure at origin in the original program. So, I tried to position it as carefully as I could in ZBrush along the axes using Rotate and Offset but the numerical values are not global, only relative to the current position of the tool. When I activate symmetry, the mirror point isn’t at the same corresponding area on the other half of the model (pressing Frame doesn’t do it, still off). For example, applying a brush to the left eye corner affects an area off to the side of the temple area on the other side of the model.
How do I get the symmetry points on each side to fall perfectly on, say, the pupils of both eyes?
edit, solved: After moving the tool into an approximate front-on view and pressing shift while still having the stylus tip on the tablet, I continued fooling around with Deformation > Offset and Rotation, entering increasing and decreasing numerical values until the symmetry points fell on both pupils exactly, so I guess this is the way to do it. Assuming the model is truly symmetrical, if I do this to a number of areas on the figure, it should then be lined up for all subsequent symmetry operations.
