Symmetry adaptive skin with Edit topology and Zsphere

Hi all, i’m new in the forum, i made this model and i want to add it an adicional part in the backrest, so i append a zsphere in my model, and create a topology using the Tool>Topology>Edit Topology option, all was going right, the extrusion of the topology was in the same axis direction, i don’t know what happened :o
I need both extrusions going the same way. where is the option to modify this?

I’m not totally clear on what went wrong, but delete the part you dont like, and use Mirror and Weld under Modify Topology in the Geometry pallet to fix it. If it says you are creating empty geometry, use Mirror first in the top of the Deformation pallet.

Interesting problem, I cant imagine how that’s happening…

Also try the Topology brush!
Its awesome for this sort of thing.
