Symmetrical sculpting on a already posed mesh

Me and a few other people have posed our models and now want to do symmetrical sculpting on it, this is the method i came up with after reading various threads about posing with a layer, this is if you didn’t start out that way with the layer.
You will need two things for this to work.

  1. your original T-posed model.
  2. your new model.
I dont know about subtools or anything so i just tested this with just a figure mesh.
  3. Make sure both models have the same number of subdivion levels, same group set up and no masking.
  4. take your posed model and at its highest subdlvl export as a obj.
  5. clear out your tools and then open your t-posed ztl.
  6. goto its highest subdlvl and create a layer, then import your posed obj. At this point if you toggle the eye you should be switching between the two.
  7. you should now be able to make changes to your t posed model that will effect your posed model.
You can move down your levels and make changes, your layer will disapper but the changes still effect it when you go back up, at least they say that in this thread: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=45049
I’m sure there are better ways of going about this but it was my first idea and havent had time to experiment more. hope it helps someone.
