The agreed-upon theme for the ZBrush LIVE streamers this month was LOVE, so I wanted to go with a less obvious choice of a subject–a chocolate anti-cupid!
This is Sweet Tooth—a gollum that curses those found in gluttony and selfishness on Valentines Day. Those who become cursed will find that each bite of chocolate they take turns to bitter baker’s chocolate.
I had a survey on my Instagram stories the night before I did this sculpt and got the predictable suggestions for Cupid. One of my buddies made the suggestion for a chocolate monster. That immediately clicked with Cupid, and Sweet Tooth was born. I did a few exploration sketches and then decided to wing it! It was great.
