Sunny tips animation

This was the biggest nightmare of a project I have ever decided work on. What started as “I will have it done in 3 months” turned into about 9 months of computer crashes, long render times and an infinite amount of technical problems that made me want to throw my computer out the window. This was an old idea that I wanted to see if I could make better. As I was working on the animation problems started to show themselves, simulating hair is the most horrible and time consuming thing. It takes about 40 min to fully simulate some hair flowing then you think ohh that looks alright, then you render over night to find it’s actually full of mistakes. There were animation challenges that I wasn’t quite able to figure out. How can you make her dance, make her look hot, make sure her body anatomy is correct when she moves, then she has to hold a pole, move in a way that won’t break the hair and cloth simulation while wearing high heels!!! Once I had figured some of the things out, then create an edit that was interesting to watch! I hope I managed to at least make something interesting hahah. I had more shots and story that I wanted to make but it was just taking was too long to I have released it up to this point.
I might try again one day when I have a few more skills and understanding but for now never again hahaha.

Character was sculpted in z brush.

Why do we do these things? Goodness only knows. I sculpt products, no one pays me to create realistic renders and yet I am forever devoting hours of my life to creating realistic skin textures, simulated eyes and natural lighting environments when there is absolutely no commercial value in doing those things. I guess because if you ever feel like you’ve reached the top of the mountain and there is nothing left to learn, you’ve nowhere to go but down. Your work is gorgeous.

Your animation overall looks very good, meaning natural movements, thanks for sharing and congrats :ok_hand:
