Subtracting Geometry

We are trying to subtract the teeth from the arm so that a bite mark appears on the arm.

When we try to use some of the suggestions on the forum, it isn’t working for our geometry. (The teeth are a subtool.) You can download the file.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

since 4shared requires a social network login and or an aco**** i’m not going to download that. however, from you’re description I’d do this:

duplicate both the tools (the teeth and the thing the teeth are to be subtracted from).
hide and delete everything that isn’t going to be effected by the teeth. so delete the body and hands just have the arm.
then follow the dynamesh then follow this tutorial for how to do dynamesh subtracks http://pixologic.com/video/video-v2-zcr.php?videoname=http://www.pixologic01.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lessons/videos/joseph-drust/radio-part-1.f4v&w=1024&h=576

alternatively you could just sculpt the teeth damage which likely would look better…

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, those steps did not work for us.

I now have the file in the following location available for download:
http://www.animatedfuture.com/program-info/competencies/resources/downloads/

You should be able to r-click on the file and download and then unzip so you can reference it.

We appreciate your suggestions.
