Subtool/Transpose Master for ZBrush OSX

Sorry to post this, as I’m sure the answer has been mentioned. The ZB Mac threads are flooded with upgrade questions, and I’d rather not comb through them.

Is there a download for the Subtool and/or Transpose Master for 3.12? I’ve been told to strictly only save using the Save ZTool button of the Subtool Master. I’ve only played around in this new version so far, but tomorrow evening after an art fair, the real work begins. I need to know what I’m getting into before I put on my game face. Any clue?

Hey James,

IIRC, all Pixologic Zplugins are undergoing checks and revisioning to work with 3.1.2. Announcements will be made as the plugins are tested and released to the community.

It’s my understanding that all plugins for 3.1 or earlier won’t work with 3.1.2 without some tweaking/updating.

Thanx! I have no clue what the difference is between the two saving processes. I’ll look into it, but does anyone have any advice on how to avoid issues? The project I’m working on is too cool for me to mess up! It also has a lot of subtools. I would assume no one knows the time frame for the 3.12 plugin releases, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

:+1:

james i think you were told that for a few reasons, one was that there was a bug with the save feature using CTRL+S, and then when subtool master was released i think it tries to make sure you don’t have any parts of your mesh hidden because that can sometimes cause tool corruption. i would think the saving feature is fixed now considering how important it was. i’d just advise you to use the Tool Save As button and unhide your meshs for the time being. also always save in iterations that way if you do get a corrupted file you havent lost the whole thing.

Oh I leave one hell of a file trail, and reload the tool after saving to check for corruption. I WAS doing an awesome Dali bust two months ago, which I’m planning on redoing, and saved out 6 versions over the course of a very long day. I didn’t reload the tool at all, and ALL 6 versions were corrupted! Learning the hard way can suck, I had his crazy mustache perfect! Oh well it’s not the first time I’ve done a Dali portrait, just the first in 3d…

Well that’s cool then. I’ll be careful with the mesh hiding. Thanx for the input. I’m sure the main plugins will be coming soon anywayzzzzz…
