[ Subtool Master ] mirror only works when append as a new subtool

I’ve been having this issue for a while now, when I try the mirror function from Subtool Master, the object would not mirror unless I choose ‘append as a new subtool’. Does anyone knows why is this happening?

Which version of ZBrush are you using? I updated the mirror function for ZBrush 2018.
