Subtool Master - Mirror Append - No divisions on new model [Answered]

Hi. I am having a problem. I have a boot with 6 divisions on it. I have tried Subtool Master to mirror and Append for the other boot. When I do (regardless of where the divisions are set currently on original boot) the model is at Division 6 and has no lower divisions. Reconstruct Divisions does not work!

How do I fix this? Why is it not mirroring the model with the divisions intact?

Thanks

Subtool palette>duplicate. Deformation palette> Mirror

It might be that the Division 1 has an “unused vertice” (which I think is the problem here)

But this is odd since i’m sure Division 1 is a Zremesher model.

Is that possible? How might I fix that?

thanks

“This function can not be applied to a mesh with multiple subdivision levels”

Do it with out

Can’t reconstruct Subdivision

Ok the workaround I did was.

Export Div1. Bring it into Max. Remove Isolated Verts (i noticed the number of total verts went down by 1)
Re imported into Div1 on the Boot.

“Topology has changed…”
I chose the Yes option at the prompt

All seems well. Now I can mirror it with Divisions.

  1. Is there a way to remove that vert within Zbrush? Some way to clean that sort of thing up?

  2. Is this something ZRemesher does sometimes? Perhaps I could have / should have cleaned it up after Zremeshing and doing all the Project All stuff.

thanks

You could try ‘Tool > Geometry > MeshIntegrity’ to check and fix.

Thanks for showing me that Zber2!

I decided to just give it a test and see. It did clean errors but the mirrored boot still didn’t have subdiv nor would it reconstruct.

I was pretty sure that would work too. shrug
