This is a work in progress illustration inspired by the Necroscope novels.
Still needs a bit more work, but I’ll get there eventually

Created in Max with the organics sculpted and textured in ZBrush.

I have two complaints.
1: The machine parts look too soft.
2: The detail on the model is great, but the textures in the whole scene don’t reflect the detail put into the original model.

Great composition with really expressive characters 
I am wondering about the comment above “I would love to see it finished”?
I have seen that statement before and somehow I feel that saying that is like being just a little arrogant towards the artist.
Who are you to decide when another artist is finished with the work - unless of course you make it plain and understandable what “NEEDS to be DONE” to “FINISH” the work.
I have taught art for over 35 years and I would never say this to any of my students!
Comments without explanation are just dumb!

There is no need to call my comment dumb - regardless of the fact that you have “taught art for 35 years”
Since you need the explanation, the “i cant wait to see it finished” directly relates to the artists statement of “Still needs a bit more work, but I’ll get there eventually”
Since the artist himself says he plans to do more work, I said I cant wait to see it finished. Thats not meant to be offensive by telling the artist to do more work, im just telling him to keep it up. Please dont refer to peoples comments as “dumb”.

This is a really nice piece:) . What I find most interesting about your render is that the subject matter is so brutal but yet soft on the eyes. Great job man, five out of five.

Desaturated the colour a tad and added more detail…tell me what u guys think
