Subdiv pb

Hi,

I have a pb with subdiv in zb.

I make a simple cube with bevels, take care of the position of dots (green) and the subdiv level (white) :

I do 2 subdiv Ctrl+D for exemple :

If I do Ctrl+Z to come back, I have my bevels from start (good news :D)

But If I use slider to go in lower subdiv I lost my beautiful bevels

I add subdiv to insert details, come back in lower subdiv with slider, modify shape to match between subtools,
and come back to higher subdiv to continu detailing.
When my object is finish, I export the lower subdiv to 3D app and apply smooth inside but my bevels are lost.

I do something wrong in workflow?

Is it because you have smooth (SMT) switched on

You could also leave smooth on, and Crease the faces minus the bevel edge, which will retain the shape and bevel while moving up and down in Sub Divs.
Just polygroup the 9 polys on each face leaving the furthest polys (beveled ones) as a different polygroup. Isolate and press Crease.
