subD to max polygons problem!

hello,

i got a weirddd problem and it freaks me out. I have 1 mesh that has 55million polygons on subd lvl7, now when i enter zbrush it shows 79m polygons total and that is correct. When i now try to subD to lvl7 the one mesh with 55m on lvl7 it only has 13m (that is basicly lvl6).

it automaticly reduce my polygoncount and i lose details.

I neeed a fix for this otherwise many hours of work are lost!

pls i need an advice

btw i know its realy heavy mesh and i would like to split it somehow but it will crash most of the time.

its one human mesh, the head split apart from the body has 8million polys what i need for micro details.
The bad part is the rest of the body has 55-8millions= 47millions left. I dont even need that much polygons there.

If someone has experience with a full body and around 8millions polygons for the head. I would like to know their way to work with that.

i guess its 2 much for my system at this time to handle one mesh with that much polygons and i would like to split it without loosing details or some other solution.
