Strata 3D cx UV IMPORTNG

 HELP PLEASE

I HAVE DOWNLOADED ZB3, I UNDERSTAND THE BASICS, HAVE WATCHED ALL HELP FILES…BUT

WHAT I’M TRYING TO DO IS IMPORT MY PAINTED OBJ INTO STRATA,
I’M USING THE UV-TILE SETTING BUT WHEN ZBRUSH CREATES THE TEXTURE IMAGE, THE IMAGE LOOKS DISTORTED… I HAVE TRIES POLY>TXR VERTEX>TXR ETC ALL THE SETTINGS, BUT NO LOOK. EXPORTING IT AS DXF TOO.

STRATA DOES WORK FINE WITH SILO 3 UV CO-ORDS.

I’M RUNNING A DEMO VERSION OF ZB3,

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE SUGGEST ANYTHING, I’VE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE THIS FOR WEEKS.

Could you show what you mean by “distorted”?

If the texture is broken up into a bunch of small pieces, that’s what the Tiles-type UV methods look like. They will apply just fine to the model, though.

If the texture looks wrong when wrapped onto the object in your other app, are you remembering to flip it vertically when exporting from ZBrush? This is necessary any time you transfer textures into or out of ZBrush.

I’m trying to creat a high rez texture map using a zbrush obj, painting on the model using the polypaint function. I want to be able to edit my texture map in photoshop but I’m rendering in strata cx.

I make my model 3d, enable uv maps click on sphere to wrap around my model. paint my image on the model, I then assign a high rez texture image of 2048x2048 i then click on col>txr to replace my imported map, but the uv map looks wrong on the new texture image. Do I need to fix seams first, iv tried positioning my uv in the preview window but still the final uv looks out of alignment buy a long way. I’ve looked at the uv tutorial on the help files provided with the ‘green alien’ understand how it works just can’t get it to work…
