Anyone else getting this error with Zbrush 4r7 x64 bit version. I only get it at startup and nay got it after the P2 update for me not sure what it means.
It sounds as though your installation may have duplicate versions of some of the plugins. There have been a number of people with this problem and we are looking in to it.
In the meantime, take a look at the ZStartup/ZPlugs64 folder and see if there are files called FBX-ExportImport_4R7_01.zsc and also FBX-ExportImport_4R7_02.zsc. If so then this is what is causing the problem you describe. The 4R7_02 versions are the new ones. Follow these instructions and ZBrush should work as expected:
- Make a copy of the entire ZPlugs64 folder to your Desktop. This is just to make sure that if you make a mistake you can restore it.
- Work through the ZPlugs64 folder and provided there are 4R7_02 versions of these files, delete the 4R7_01 versions:
FBX-ExportImport_4R7_01.zsc
ImagePlane_4R7_01.zsc
MultiMapExporter_4R7_01.zsc
TransposeMaster_4R7_01.zsc
PaintStop_4R7_01.zsc
Also delete these four folders and their contents:
FBXExportImportData_4R7_01
ImagePlaneData_4R7_01
MultiMapExporterData_4R7_01
TransposeMasterDater_4R7_01
PaintStopData_4R7_01
- Also check the ZStartup\ZPlugs folder, and if the same thing has happened there, with 4R7_01 and 4R7_02 versions of these four plugins, repeat the procedure for that folder also.
- Run ZBrush. When you’re happy that everything is as it should be you can delete the copies of ZPlugs64 and ZPlugs that you made to your Desktop.
