Strange depth brush render bug

Maybe someone could repeat :

  1. Select Depth brush.
  2. Select Modifiers DoubleSided.
  3. Select Drag Rect or Drag Dot Stroke.
  4. Select Alpha 0.
  5. Draw on canvas
  6. Press R
  7. Drag within Gyro to rotate

(Note render artifacts and also that the square alpha has unexpectedly formed an L shaped object)

  1. Select Alpha 27

(Note "L"ing remains)

  1. Enter move or scale modes

(move or scale a few times)

Although you haven’t posted a screen shot, I suspect that those artifacts are actually created by your video card. They should go away when you do a Best Render. Make sure that you have the most current drivers for your card (available from the manufacturer website).

Thanks Aurick, I remember you mentioning something about NVidia drivers previously; that seems likely to be the case here.

I think the “L” from alpha 0 may then be the more likely contender for the ‘bug’ list. The 3D forms that can be made using depth brush seem perfect in every other way.

After installing the latest NVidia drivers the artifact problem continues. (i.e. with the square alpha : in terms of crashing the situation is worse than it was with the older drivers)

I will provide more information if necessary, I suppose I’d be surprised if the boffins over there don’t already already understand what’s going wrong inside out.
