Hey dose anyone know if there is a plug in for ZB to export .STL file formats?
yeah i believe there was a software called polytrans by okino that will do a .stl.
planning on doing some sterolithography?
good luck
Polytrans will indeed work.
A slightly less expensive option would be Deep Exploration from Right Hemisphere.

And a free option (but without all the options, bells and whistles of the above two) would be to download Plyview (from Headus software but distributed by Cyberware):

This ships with multiple command line converters to and from the Stanford Poly (PLY) format. So you export from ZB2 to OBJ, then use OBJ2PLY to convert to a Poly model, then use PLY2STL to convert to a Stereolithography file.
Hope this gives you some options.

I have used Rhino & Solidview succesfully to import OBJ then export stl. Neither work as plug-ins but aren’t hard to use. Check out this thread to see a printed model I did— (New User with first piece and printed model)
thanks for the suggestions but I am looking for a plug that will let me export right out of ZB as an STL. dose this exsist??
Zbrush can only export to obj. and dfx. formats right now, however there is another 3d converter which is shareware called 3d object converter.

Unfortunately not. OBJ is the only option available to you.
If you want to convert to STL you’ll have to do it after OBJ export from ZB…

The best bet is to export as DXF and then convert it using any of the options mentioned above. There are no plugins for STL export at this time.
