Starting retopo on a mesh already created?

I know how to start a retopo using zSpheres but once I create an adaptive skin I wanted to go make some adjustments with Zmodeler and then come back to retopo to move the new added spans and details in retopo mode.

How do I get an already made mesh into retopo mode?

Thanks.

  • Switch back to the zsphere you were retopologizing
  • Disable the Adaptive Skin preview if you had it on so that you once again see the Edit Topology view.
  • Delete the topology using Tool: Topology: Delete Topo
  • Drop out of Edit Topology Mode (same sub-palette)
  • Use the "Select Topo" button (same sub-palette) to select the skin_ mesh you were editing with zmodeler.
  • You should now be able to re-enter Edit Topology mode to continue.

Ah, yes, that worked. Thank you
