Fantastic art

I would love to learn from you!

I love this!

Amazing, Scout Trooper is my favourite from Star Wars. He looks fantastic. Was he modelled entirely in Zbrush?:+1:

Nice.

So awesome! Congratulations.

Love this!!!

Peace-NickZ.

Bravo!!! Great piece Top Row

I vote for a top row as well!
Superb

Hi! thanks everyone for the nice words! is a pleasure you like it.

For the hard surface part of the armour I made a retopology and tweaked on 3D max. The big trees are Zrbush decimated and the plants on Max. Then Photoshop to compose the render passes and give it a bit of not pure 3D looking.

Regards!!!

This poster is really nice… Great Render!

SolidSnakexxx: Thanks a lot sir! Very glad you like it!

Hi!

Thanks everyone for your words! I’m very glad you like it.

I’ve been asked about the geometry and process, so I here are two images to show the inside.

The images basically Zbrush for the model and big trees and 3DMax for the rest, then rendered by passes composed on Photoshop. After the compositing fixing some things adding details that I wanted and corrections of colours, you know typical things.
Here are a render of the foreground, mid ground and background together and the wires, the wires are a bit crazy at the same image

very impressive.
I suppose the imperial walker could be made in Zbrush using shadowbox and the clip brushes.
Did you give it a try in Zbush or did you go straight to 3dmax ? I’m curious: is max still easier than zbrush for such shapes? (or is it just a question of habbit???)

cheers and thanks for sharing

usurpator: Thanks sir! I guess the imperial walker can be made on zbrush, to me is still more easy to do this sort of model on 3DMax or XSI, but the moto jet and the walker models was provided by the director, I have not model them. But I’m sure is a question of habit but is a longer work to create UV and textures because has to have a retopology. Just my opinion honestly. Regards

as if it hasn’t been said enough, this piece is awesome and I really enjoy it. As others have said, the scout was also my favorite character design from the trilogy.
