Spotlight reference feature gone with Snapshot 3D in Zbrush 2019

Hey everyone,

After updating to Zbrush 2019 I encounter a problem.

So I’m modeling a gun and using Spotlight for my reference image in the background. But the problem is now that Snapshot 3D is a feature, when I go to Dynamesh it cuts up my mesh and gives me errors cause it’s trying to use my reference image as a tool to make 3d shapes with Snapshot 3D.

My question is. Has anyone figures out a way to make spotlight behave like it use to on 2018? Or is there away to disable the Snapshot 3D feature temporary?

Thank you everyone for you time!

Can’t you just hit Z on the keyboard before Dynameshing then Z to bring back your reference? Should temporarily disable spotlight with one button press. Unless I’m not understanding the problem, this may be a new “feature” with the new snapshot functions or it may be unintended bug will see I guess but a simple press of Z should work around this if so.

I’ve passed this on to the developers. In the meantime, as Extra Dimensional suggests, press Shift+Z to hide the Spotlight images while you use DynaMesh then press Shift+Z again to bring back the images.

Hey guys yeah that would definitely work. I was just wondering if there was a way to turn off Snapshot 3d to make the work flow a bit faster and not have to worry about it.

Thank you for help and the replies!!
