Hey guys I’m really frustrated right now because I’m having trouble with splitting my subtool to parts. I’ve imported an OBJ into zbrush but when I try to split it to parts it gives me that question where you click “OK” and after that nothing happens. I’ve tried doing it with other models and it still won’t work. I’ved tried everything can someone please help me out?
Can you post a screenshot of your model? It’s difficult to tell what might be going wrong from your description.
Split to Parts works on a model that is composed of separate meshes. For example, if you load the DemoSoldier project and select the shoulder guard subtool, that can be spilt into two separate subtools because the strap is a separate mesh.
I came across the same problem. Don’t import your model into zbrush directly! Select a simple brush and then import your model, then you can do it.
