Spider

Hi, I thought that would be nice to share with you a picture I made a few months ago. The model is done in Zbrush, the rendering and fur in Maya+Renderman.

Hope you enjoy! For other views of it you can visit my website:

ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! ewww!!! I-HATE-SPIDERS!..but this model is really excellent!..too bad i can’t look at it for more than 30 seconds without feeling like fainting!! :+1:

NO DEAR !! I like very much spider…Spider Man !!

btw this is a great work and you should be proud to show it !!!
fantastic :sunglasses: :+1:

I would work a bit more on the hair. The spider looks too fuzzy, I have a tarrantula I can take images of if you would like, but their hair is usualy strait and semi sparse, yours is bunched up and sort of curly making him look more like a fuzzy spider than a hairy spider, think of like wire hair, sticking strait out from the legs but on the abdomen have it directed toward the rump but not smooth to the abdomen.

Well… this is project is quite old, so I’m not thinking to improve it.
I see you’re completely right and… if I will go on with this I’ll keep you in mind for the references
