Spider Woman

After a few weeks of neglect, here’s my somewhat finished flying spider woman chimera project.

Im still very open to comments/crits, so lay em on me.
Ill be rendering some close up shots while asleep.

Base mesh maya, displacement/color/bump zbrush, rendered with mental ray.

The pose make it look like she’s “well hung” instead of multi legged…
I also think you can detail the upper part of the legs more (thies?)

There is SOMETHING betwen her/his legs !!!
That looks very funny, and scary, becouse she looks more like him :stuck_out_tongue:

I finally got around to reposing this character- as I somehow managed to miss the glaring monster ***** I had accidently modeled into her :slight_smile:

If theres any critiques now that ya’ll won’t be worried about being eaten alive by a claw headed woman-rod, i’d love to hear them.

i saw the wip images of this in our school, in danny’s creature folder in blackrock. now i know who you are hehe

as for crits, the specular and sss is botheing me, it needs a painted specular map and also sss
the lower legs look way too thin, so does the forearm

if you can post a zbrush screen then i can crit more on the anatomy/details.

yeah- i was started to feel creepy not introducing myself here since I knew who you were all along; I suppose I’ll say hi next time I see you kickin around.

Im not sure if danny gave you the background on these models- but more or less I know there’s tons that needs to be corrected on her.
By all means she needs a back SSS weight map as the ratio of thick-thin on her is pretty high.

The breast/arm problems I think were the result of my fast and sloppy rig in maya for posing. The legs are a break into bird legs of course, and I happen to enjoy the thinnes- but if you don’t think it’s reading correctly, some suggestions would be great.

Unfortunately I doubt ill be able to adjust anything until may- but I definitely need some crits to go back to when I start patching up these models.

Okay, Synok here is gonna be serious as always.
This spider/Human or if it is a Spider-Human (Creative thing)
looks like the 3d models from the 1995-1998.

Im not saying this is bad made 3d model, I am saying this is an
very very good 3d model but it do need some extra work.

Hmm, do you think you could elaborate on that to some degree? I just dont really see what is making it appear so dated. thanks
