I finally got a chance to spend some time in Zb3, Here’s a few of the things I messed around with recently. I have to say its a dream to work with. :slight_smile: I’ve bunged about 14 or 15 (so far) turntbales and timelapses on the Veoh link above. I’l add more as I have time.

The ‘Sphereheads’ thing is a pratice /warm up routine I do and usually set myself about 30 mins to come up with and sculpt something.

Wow, what you do in a half an hour would take me half a day. Thats what I call speed. I definately wouldnt wanna run into that bovine beast on a bad day.

Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed them. I knocked another couple up tonight, the lazrd has a little post work on it (as the color map was a bit TOO garish even for a fantasy dino lol.) It could have really done with more work but alas a crash has stopped that idea dead in its tracks, I only have the early zsphere base.

About 40 -50 mins speed sculpt freestyle fro last night. I didn’t use any reference so any reselmblence to any bird living or dead is purely co-incidental lol.

Ah yes, the infamous ‘Wayne spelling’ lol. Older members may well remember some of the more famous wayneisms I typed while in a hurry. I should have really stuck it through a spell checker before adding to the image, but never mind. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been trying to move away from the usual cliches I have done of late, hence the bird head etc… (Or at the very least aproach things with a different eye.) While I still stick to my maxim of ‘form first’, it is very refreshing to not have to worry about polycounts any more. Zbrush 3 frees me up to think more about the model itself and try and instill some character into them. My brain still hasn’t got over hitting 1/2 billion polys in a test a few nights ago…bit of a culture shock after having to think about not wasting any polys lol.

If I have time I’ll see what falls out of my head tongiht…but it’s been a long, long day. :expressionless:

This one was a bit slower thann usual for a ‘spherehead’, about 40 mins all in. I very loosley based the face on a gorrilla, I wanted the feeling of a gorrillas personality without it getting in the way of the concept as it developed.

I’m feeling as ill as a dog right now with a nasty virus, so haven’t been posting as much (or working as much) as I usually do. As I can’t use any pain relief, I thought what better way to cope with any pain than a mess around in zb. :smiley:

I have no idea why he’s wearing a hat (other than a way to test a few brushes someon posted here…)
