Hi,
Yesterday I instaled new windows - 7 x64. After reinstaling and activating
ZBrush I ran MultiThread speed test to see if it was affected.
I have double core processor.
Well, I got very strange results.
Sometimes Multi thread performance is a litle above 100%, sometimes equal,
sometimes it tells me that Multi THread speed is slower than Single and multithreating is not recomended.
The Single and Multi Thread Speed is usually from 8 to 9 now, but once it was 2
while there was no testing 3d mesh on a screen (odd error)
Before update I had Win XP SP3 32 bit and pc started to run slower and slower
so I went for 7 64bit. But I didn’t upgrade memory yet and it’s still 3 gb.
But it should’t be issue for 64 bit os, right?
Before , the Multithread speed performance was about 150% always.
In the past with some old ZBrush - 3,1 ? in the 2008 I still got
134,4 speed increase for multi which was 4.120998 (*I found on the forums here.)
Man, my pc is old…
So, why speed results got slower?
It’s because win 7 x64. Shuould I install x86 insteed?
Or is it something else?

3 gb ram
Win 7 x86 (was XP sp3)
