Hi all,
Just a quick speed sculpt to explore hard rocks surfaces. Great exercise to train a bit with Trim and Clip brushes, Dynamesh and Clay Polish.
After, 10 min poly paint just for fun.

Really nice work for that amount of time you did this, really inspiring because I am working on a UDK project in college and I am thinking about sculpting my rocks and ruins in zbrush to make them look better than modelling them in max or so!
Thanks for sharing this and hopefully you will post more of them =)
All the best and happy sculpting,
Wow awesome work! So life like, I’m also interested in doing this type of rock art, could you possibly explain the steps you took to achieve your work?
great work
Thanks for the comments, guys.
@ LordSoth, not really a cool explanation. Basically, I´ve tried to sculpt basic sharp sharpes in the beginning with a lot of Clip brushes. Then I moved closer to start with some detailing. But the main goal was to try to achieve something that works at a medium distance. Maybe now I´ll get even closer and continue details.
By doing this kind of exercise, you really develop your own workflow and techniques to approach these kind of surfaces. I plan to do one or two more rock variations, so I´ll try to record a video of the process ;)
ooh looking forward to those vids if you get the chance
