Special ZSphere that i didn't know about?

so you guys know right when you open the mannequinn file in zbrush, it use zsphere but its not the regular zsphere, it has some kind of kendama shape on the connection (?) i also saw some guy use zsphere for fingers and the finger part has some kinda of curve already. What is this weird zsphere?

They aren’t different ZSpheres. When the Use Classic Skinning button is turned on in the Tool>Adaptive Skin sub-palette you can use the Insert Local Mesh and Insert Connector Mesh buttons to add simple meshes to the ZSpheres. That is basically how mannequins are made. (If you open one of the mannequin projects and look in the Tool palette you’ll see the meshes that have been used.)
