Special tutorials

Hey guys,

I come from Maya, C4D, 3dsMax, Mudbox and want to learn zBrush. I did already some basic tutorials. I am not that much interested in charakter stuff so I would like to focus on hard surface modeling/shading for now.

I am looking for a tutorial how to build this watch http://blog.ponoko.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/zbrush.jpg
I am pretty shure I saw a whole series of this a view years ago but I can’t find it anymore (besides a quick 3 minutes one on Youtoube).

Does anyone know where to find it?

I also would like to have a tutorial tho model this tourbine http://www.pixologic01.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lessons/banner/zbrush-keyshot-banner.jpg but I guess this does not yet exist.

thx in advance

I believe that watch was only part of a demo reel that Pixologic put to advertise some new features. There were no step by step tutorials on it’s build process. If there were they would be in the classroom on the website. I believe this was when dynamesh was introduced. Part of the making time for Art video series. Just a few vids demoing zbrush. An advertisement really.

Go through all the videos in the Zbrush classroom:

Even ones you don’t think you’ll use. You’ll pick up little tidbits here and there for your workflow and will help teach the workflow of Zbrush, organic or hard surfaces. If you skip videos you could miss some very important information here and there that might cause problems down the road.

Well I did already some of them but they are quiete long winded, explaining button per button. And right now I don’t have to time to spent approximated 40 hours just to watch tutorials for a Skulpting tool. But I’ll see. I might do some own tutorials some day.

Thank you all for quick answer

Just watching some videos or parts of them can be enough, once it is combined with actually using ZBrush as well.
