I have been blown away by what I see you guys do with ZBrush. I downloaded the program but I can’t seem to get a good grip on it. But then again, I am no artist.
So what is that you want to do with your creative art? Check us out at www.omacc.com/blackthorn. I am creating a game and I need artists like you guys. Help us out, it will give you the opportunity to expand your creative horizons. think about it…

The project is a labor of love by fans and will not be published, therefore no monetary compensation can be offered. However, full credit will be given where due and a successful product always helps a resume look better. :wink:

hey WW…welcome to ZBC…I looked at the site a little…Its a D and D type site? I would be interested possibly in contributing something. I do encourage you to not give up on Zbrush though…Whether you have the full version or the demo, with a little research in the Quicklinks section at the top of the page or a little time and a big imagination and a little patience, you will be creating top notch imagery in no time. Again, welcome to the forum…and let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hi Ron,

You are right, after I reread my post, I realized that it could be seen from an angle that may be offensive to some even though it was not intention to offend anyone. Thank you for guiding me in the right direction :slight_smile:
The MOD is based on the popular Ultima series and I am really in need of artists and modellers. If you could help, I would be most grateful. I am looking for someone to create three characters for me:

The Guardian - An evil Red entity that can traverse time/space/dimension. I can offer pics to help in this area.

Blackthorn: A noble Lord, living in exile for mistakes he had no control over and the main character of this game

Sarek: A Great powerful old wizard, living with the burden of letting loose the Guardian on his world.

IF you could help I would appreciate it.

You might want to consider changing the name of that last character, as it’s already been taken by Paramount. :slight_smile:

well upload a couple of .jpgs onto this thread here and i will see what i can come up with for ya…it may not be right away on my part, due to I have a dinner engagement in a couple of hours…but it will give myself and the other forum members a chance to see what you kinda have in mind…

Liked wingedone said , you have to look out with copyrights. The second name “Blackthorn” is also copyrighted I believe. It is used in a mmorpg “Ultima Online”
I even think you are referring to the same character according to your info.

Thank you for your interest guys. The game is being made as a Free product and no money will be made of this product. It is our effort to revive something thats pretty much been dead. If we were making money, I can see your concern about copyright problems. I do doubt that someone can copyright names like Sarek and Blackthorn, I may be wrong. I have seen movies where the name JOHN is used and many other movies where the same name is used. I have a whole bunch of pics that you can view at

The Guardian and Blackthorn can be viewed here, there is no picture of Sarek. Sarek would be somehting that would need to be created via our imagination. Keep in mind, they show Blackthorn as sort of a weasel here :). In my game, he will a hero so we need to make him heroic. Black goatee and black hair is a must :slight_smile:

Every image is appropriately labelled. Please keep in mind I need full images if possible and if you can offer 3d images so I can use in 3dmax, I would be most grateful

Ron,
Here are two images to give you an idea. I understand, whenever you have time to do this would be great. If you could recreate these using your creative edge and make these pics different, it would be nice. Thank you.

P.S: For people concerned about copyright issues, there are atleast 8 more Ultima remakes in progress right now. All of these are being offered at free of charge by fans like ourselves.

Is there a part for Boozie Floozie a cantankerous old soak steeped in her own vomit who through over use of ZBrush has lost the use of her legs and skeletal support thus having to don an exoskeleton complete with an internal mini-bar containing magical potions?
