(Solved) Snapping view to 45 degree angles?

Hey ZBC’ers

I know that holding shift snaps to 90 degrees. Is there a way to set this to 45 degrees? (Or other custom amount?)

Thanks for any info

Thanks a lot!

While I’m here, would you/anyone happen to know how to:

Turn OFF this grey line?

  • How to make the XYZ axis display on the Grid (floor) bigger/more visible?

Thanks

can’t turn off gray line…unless you make your document smaller than your UI. It is a safe zone for navigation when zoomed in.

draw.modifiers.frame opacity.
you can also change the fill mode up a bit so it shows up green as well.

As for 45° angles…I think marcus wrote a script for it…can’t remember where it is or what it is called though.

edit:I’m dumb…look up.

Oh, pity. I find it annoying.

Excellent, thanks!

No worries, I installed it a few hours ago. It should be a default plug-in!

Thanks for the info!

This plugin will allow you to rotate by a set number of degrees on any axis (there’s one just for the Y axis in the same thread):

That’s a great link, thanks!

Thanks Marcus! That’s perfect for my needs.
