software: create faces parametrical

hi

I’m looking for a software or a plugin to generate faces. Similiar to the way you can create faces more or less like in poser (a little more nose, a little less cheek). Simply generate a nice face or a weird grimace by adjusting a couple of parameters. Especially (compared to poser) when we’re looking for a way to generate meshes with higher quality (texture as well as geometric quality). For example to create a face with wrinkles or to create really different types of skin (maybe even with parametric created moles or freckles). Is something like this available somewhere?

A standalone version or a plugin (to Zbrush or 3D Max)

thanks alot

Maybe this could be the right one, take a look at:

http://www.facegen.com/

with this prog youve got a lot of possibilities to create faces, lots of parameters you can change.

from the website you can download a Demo

Thank you very much.

I played a bit with the demo and it looks very promising. There’re just two things - I like the skin textures but they seemed to be limited to 512² pixels also. And only the face has detail textures, the rest of the head has a solid color (at least it looks that way).

But very interesting indeed. :+1: The FAQ pointed out there might be a way to increase the texture outout size, but I couldn’t figure out how yet.

I think the demo version might be limited to 512k texture generation but Facegen is great for creating faces fast and tweakability with the vast slider parameters.

…in the Zb demo you can’t import any file except a Zb tool !

Here is another Programm for Faces:

Thanks. I tried porenut and its very nice (and free :+1: ) - but it isn’t an improvement regarding texture creation. :frowning:

Are the faces of face-gen unproblematic in terms of normal-map creation in ZBrush/UV-Map overlapping?

It seems higher resolution for textures are only available through a FaceGen Customizer?

Maybe - I only have the Demoversion from FaceGen

I found a plugin for 3D Max which could also be ‘suitable’. Does anyone have expierence with FacialStudio (http://www.di-o-matic.com/products/Plugins/FacialStudio) in combination with ZBrush?
