snail or smoke ?

only one can stay but i cant decide myself wich one … so feel free to give your opinion if you want to

and the other one …

I would go with the top one, cause the cig seems outa place, and the ground texture and snail look better.

Snail!

Excellent character model Sarum!! I really REALLY like the ground too. Is that a modeling/texturing combo? Nice! :grimacing:  :+1: :+1:

me likes the snail image.

Hi Sarum
:ex: Smoking in the forest is very dangerous… for the forest
So I vote for the snail
Pilou

looks like it is the snail then

>Is that a modeling/texturing combo?
i have been experimentating mostly with perspective and compositing these last days, for example only the cigaret has been modelled in these pictures …
-the ground is a picture applied on a plane with some inflat and smoothing (mentat explain that technique very well on the mother nature thread)
-the little faerie is originally an old poser model i had (regular p4 woman) repainted using the smudge and the snakehook brush (no textures on it)

  • the snail is an alpha plane

having not much time lately, this method works very well : it took me less than 1 hour to complete the aboves images  and it would take me 10mns to redo it from scratch (now that i have the elements)

I enjoyed this image(Snail)like how the snail is turned to see what?..

wow creepy work, looks good

I like the idea of the image, and the approach to it.
What is detracting from the joy of viewing, (and feel free to tell to me go play in traffic  ) is that the main elements of the image are placed in a way that tends to lead the eye out of image. Adjusting the composition would help keep the viewer in the image. Just my bit of rambling

>the main elements of the image are placed in a way that tends to lead the eye out of image. Adjusting the composition would help keep the viewer in the image.

its because the main “star” in this picture is not here yet
feel always free to give your opinion … its the reason i post here : to share and learn from each other

Well, then, Sarum, I will patiently wait for the final image :+1:

this is not a real update, but just a quick test of perspective before i go for the real one … it will give you an idea of whats to come

I am really becoming a big fan of your work Sarum!
Another great and dreamlike piece! I really like the snail and this last post is very intrigueing!
Keep up the great work,
Michael

thanks pusghetty , be sure it is fully appreciated
