Any chance on getting that please till the whole GoZ problems are cleared up please? Very useful tool.
I was just looking for this too. I used it tons in ZB3.5. I’m assuming the 3.5 plugin won’t work in Z4 eh?
Actually the 3.5 plugin will work fine in the PC version of ZBrush 4. I’ve not tested the Mac version but I can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t work as well.
Hi,
For Maya users, you no longer need that plug-in. Just use Maya’s crease tool and press the GoZ button and it will show up in ZB4 creased. Not sure about other software like Max and XSI though. Hope this helps somewhat.
Yep, apparently 3.5 version works fine on zb4.
How did you guys manage to use it properly in Z4?..I’ve installed the Z3.5r3 version plugin into my Z4, well it installed Ok and showed up in the ZPlugins palette, but whenever I click the button, ZBrush crashed…
Any solution?..

Where did you install it?
I installed it on standard ZStartup/ZPlugs folder, and even worst the standard Import button also didn’t work, then I thought there must be some corrupted file going on. And after removing some custom files from Z root folder (custom UI, startup doc, etc) and looks like I got corrupted custom UI file, because after I remove the custom UI file everything works Ok.
I wonder why it happened because it only corrupted after i put the Smoothing Groups plugins into the ZPlugs folder.

I’ve no idea why that should cause a problem but thanks for the information, that is useful. Did you use a configuration file from ZBrus 3.5? If you did, that might have been partly to blame.
Anyway, I’m glad you got it sorted.
Hi Marcus, so I did my custom UI from the default Z4 one and store config again, but…well…it crashed again…seems like smoothing groups from Z3.5 didn’t play well with custom UI in Z4…
Just to add an information to you, I did a several test of combination which one that cause the problem:
1a. Custom UI (CUI) already installed, then install the Smoothing Group Import (SGI)…normal import and SGI crash
1b. CUI removed, SGI still installed…normal import and SGI works fine.
1c. SGI removed, CUI installed (using the previous CUI)…normal import crash
Hope this info will useful for you as well.
Edit: Now I seriously can’t have any custom UI, i think the corrupted file buried deep down inside already because even without SGI and fresh reinstalled ZBrush still causing the normal import problem…looks like I have to reformat my Windows then…
