I’m trying to slice my pendant into a wedge with a solid back, but it’s filling in areas that are supposed to be open. I’m not sure what’s happening.
I am extremely new to this, and any help would be great. Thanks.
That’s simply too complicated a situation for the auto-fill hole mechanism in zbrush. It has no way of guessing what’s supposed to be a hole or not there. It sees it as one big hole.
I think there are easier ways to approach this, though. If all you want to do is close your open geometry and put a back on the pendant, just mirror and weld it along the appropriate axis. You can then flatten that back with a clip brush if desired.
Try the TrimCurve tool instead of the SliceCurve brush/tool and you might get the results you’re looking for.
