Slice Circle Mask Problem

Hello there. I am looking for help in solving this problem. When i am trying to mask only a part of this surface it mask the whole surface. I know the problem is that there is no loops in this surface so it mask the whole object. ! but i am watching a tutorial he used a slice circle mask and he could mask the part and inserted loop at the same time. can somebody tell me how to do that ? as i can’t find the same mask brush. what%20i%20do|713x529 what%20i%20get

Hi there!

Any chance of us getting a look at the part of the tutorial you’re referencing? I’d need to see what you’re describing to tell you exactly what is going on.

In general, though, if you can assign different polygroups to your mesh, you will be able to quickly hide or mask those polygroups at will through quick combinations of keyboard shortcuts.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with how to use selection marquees to hide polygons and assign polygroups, and then how to shift-click on the various polygroups to hide or mask them. Remember that simply ctrl-clicking in empty canvas space applies masking to any visible mesh, or inverts masking if already applied. In Move mode, you can mask any polygroup by ctrl-shift-clicking it directly.

Hello there. Thanks for your replying. I could fix this problem.

Slice Mask easily can be opened by Holding “Ctrl + Shift” then click on the brushes box.

Thanks again for your time.
