Skull animation transform/light tests

I couldn’t help but come back and check up on the shelves. Looks like marcel made another wacky.

I figured I’d try to animate some things here in z-brush. I hope you like the results. I find it funny.

There’s one thing I await more than anything else, the ability to repose my poly meshes!!!

01aniskull.zip = subdivision and rotation animation

02lightani.zip = point and sun fun with scale and rotation.

Wicked Sic Skull . Please post more renderings (full skull) :+1: :+1:

This is just a little testing I was doing for light and basic transform animation. There will be more than just a skull in the final image I am planning to create.

whoa thats neat stuff

how did you animate it? can you post a link to the script? i found a link for a script before but the link didnt work…ive been fooling around with animating myself with some of the things i do in zbrush, but ive been importing everything as blend shapes into maya to animate it, but the scene quickly got heavy…try fooling around with deformations in the tool palette when you animate, its the most awesome thing ever!

haha yah we do have same last names! thats cool seeing a familiar name here.
good job

anh

The animation portion was quite a tedious task. It was all rendered in Z-brush, but the animation frames were put together elsewhere, so no script is possible.

But the method is simple. I keep it in edit mode, and rotate the skull for every frame I want it to move. I also move the lights at the same time using the x and y sliders. Each movement I do, I print a screen, and copy it from the clipboard to photoshop. After that, I crop out the Z-brush UI, leaving just the canvas.

Deformation animation? Awesome idea man. Definately working that in sometime.

Many thanks!

Allow me to save you a ton of steps here…

first download Svengali’s Psnap script/plugin. now you can with one button save your images with incremental numbers…eg zbrushani001, zbrushani002 etc. easy as pie…a hell of alot of less editing!!!

now somewhere is some info on using spin or spin-t…forget what its called but a search on spin…check for threads in this last month…jan…this will also save you some time!!!

animate to your hearts desire!! and don’t forget to say hi to svengali for saving you some time!!

Aminuts, you are a time/life saver on many occasions. Thanks again. I’m waiting for the next Z-brush release to continue my animation testing. Rotations and movements/light placement aren’t enough.

I’ll give Svengali a pat on the back when I check out his interesting script.

cool…a sentinel too! ;):D:+1:

Wow, I am glad I don’t look behind my monitor. hahaha considering the dust balls behind the old monitor (now 2nd) monitor…i am sure there is something just as scary behind it!
