skin stamps

Hi new Z user, long term Maya user. Well impressed with the tools in Zbrush and soon got into the flow. The image attached is my ‘first’ zbrush sculpt from an old Maya cage. I come from a traditional modelmaking background where I used stamps on clay and was inspired to create my own skin stamps as per monstermaker. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=23879&page=3&pp=15&highlight=monstermaker. (I found saving them as jpegs for the web worked and normal jpegs didn’t)

My question is: When using projection Master is there any way to rotate my alpha tool as I stamp?

Thank YoumyFirst_Z.jpg

I like a lot.
I only mis a deepper texture, imaging that it is a silicone casting and you would loose a little bit of texture
About how rotate use de directional tool and dragrect stroke in the projection master.
Good look.

directional brush as dharma pointed out or create a stencil which you can then size rotate etc. I prefer the brush cuz it’s quicker for me but if placing needs to be absolute stencil would probably be better for that.

you can rotate your alpha in 90 degree increments as well via rotate in alpha menu if you are looking for even quicker but less precise way.

the Directional brush! thats the tool i was looking for. cheers.

thanks for the links.

Nice head howZ -great expression.
If you use the directional brush or the deco brush and the dragdot stroke you can turn and size your alpha as you draw it . Its a little tricky to position at first because it kind of slides from where you started as you draw but a few tries and you get the hang of it.
That head looks like it would animate really nicely!
