Skin pores...

well i was wondering if anyone out there knows a good and easy way to create skin pores cause i am having troubles figuring it out…

any help would be much appreciated.

find a good skin texture that shows up pores…load it and make it an alpha…blur the edges a bit so it will blend better

then use PM in deform mode…you will have to play with intensity settings etc to achieve the desired effect.

a good texture collection is the DOSCH character “something”.
there are all sorts of pores, wounds, cuts and all those nice things  with alphs, bump and texture.

still does anyone have a pore alpha or something that he/she has isolated???

i am not handy with photoshop …

when i get a chance i’ll post one but you don’t have to be handy…zbrush does everything!!!

  1. find a skin pic with good pores
  2. load it as a texture
  3. in the texture menu…click make alpha
now you have a skin alpha
  4. in the alpha palette…turn rf to
about 15 to soften the edges. you might
have to turn max on if alpha isn’t quite
    strong enough.
  5. make sure ep is on and click make
modified alpha and save it. you now have
your very own skin alpha you can load
    whenever you need it.
