Skin Materials ? (2 added)

Still alive and back to normal (for the third time), and hopefully final time.

Ignore the model (it is unfinished rubbish) I haven’t bothered modelling anything since I lost 99% of models in a series of hard drive failures. Also ignore the red lips.

Here are some skin shaders… they worked for what I wanted them to do.

Tip: Tired of predominently yellow or pink coloured skins with too much shading… I put this model with the default shader and added colour at really low resolutions, then added the shaders. Also looks interesting with Zmode/uni 40 on.

Still not perfect, but they did suffice. They look better inside ZBrush.

Any interest in the shaders and I’ll spend the next 30 mins looking for them:)

ignore the model ??? sh** i quite like it :o

is it all done in zb? the model thats not in this thread that is

Hi Cosmic:)

Yup all done in ZBrush (who uses anything else? )… a raw model, and no other program enhancements.

they are not s***… he has allot of character in him…
looks like he would take you into a bar, buy you lots of drinks… when you where drunk enough he would steal your money and run away chuckling hysterically to himself :+1:

  • its waaaaay better than my best model… its clean and original…
and the skin shaders look good… but i better try and make my own… i will take your advice with the skins

30 minutes? Better get cracking then, because they look great. TIA!

I feel for you on the loss.

You have a day, two at the most to get them all remodeled. Piece of cake, you already did them once, just like tracing. No biggy!

I agree with others though, this fella has character.

And just because he wears lipstick, is no reason to put him down. That’s a fetching shade, if I do say so myself.

Here is one combination of about 30 skin materials and 20 odd lights… I have no idea if it is any of the above ones. I will post the others as time permits.

Here I have used a base model colour of 222 200 172 then with the default shader added colours at a low resolution 2 through to 6. Colour quickly added for an example. I have then added the shader and light.
This light has the zmode/uni 40 on… didn’t try the light with that turned off.

The example colouring of the default shader is not the one used in the rendered model, but it gives the idea. Add noise as you see fit and cook for 8 seconds. The material etc looks better in ZBrush.

Another one… as usual better in ZBrush… and with Zmode off loooks ok. Corel has a tendancy to turn things yellow.
I do note that these materials do look different on different models…seems to depend on levels of divide and whether sphere3d or ziff with adaptive skin etc.

Thank you! Will play this weekend.
