skin map displacement - problems

Hello,

I used sample of texturing XYZ displacement maps to try out is it even worth this money (after projecting map in mari I have exported created displacement map)

and now when I’m back in zbrush I am able to use this map as displacement and in zbrush it looks very fine :slight_smile:
but then problems start…
-when I want apply displacement to mesh it doesn’t look so fine (my model have 19 mln polys and cannot subdivide more)
-when I’m using goz to keyshot then somehow it doesn’t come with this displacement map, and when I’m adding it manually it does not look so fine, and I have no control over it “strength”
-when manually importing to 3ds max…well as bump map it technically not visible no matter how much strength I will set.

so concluding using technique that I’m using I can only use zbrush BPR render to see effects of my work.

Could someone please help me with this ? I am almost sure that there is something awfully wrong with my workflow or settings. Any tips or guidance will be much appreciated and will take a lot of nerves out of my head…
