Had so much fun during the ZBrush 2021beta testing this year! The new cloth dynamics, micropoly and modeler tools are really enjoyable to work with. This project I did over the course of the beta in order to learn how each tool works and to see how I could fit it all into my workflow. What better way than to honour my best boy Monty hahaha.
2021 is a free update and comes out tomorrow August 12!
The tips and tricks the other beta testers and the Pixologic team shared during the beta were so great, and I’m grateful to have been a part of such a fun and exploratory testing process <3

Sir Monty The Good Boy, requested by the Grand Church H-ome, took his daily oath to uphold his bravery in the face of evil. With his sword of retri-bone-tion in hand, pouch of blessed kibbles and potions of lay on paws on hip, he felt readier than ever to smite down the horrors that await behind the safety of H-ome’s sacred doors.
And so, Sir Monty found himself on a perilous journey full of mundane terrors after taking on a noble quest through the treacherous cursed park. Ducking and dodging abhorrent flying discs and barking holy scripture at demonic bounding orbs of death led him to his final reward. With such a job well done surely he would deserve only the best! But first, he must prove his allegiance to the Church of H-ome, he must showcase his prowess, agility, and above all, restraint.
“Leave it” the Grand Master said, with full confidence a few seconds pass, the rewards balancing precariously on his snout, has the Grand Master forgotten? Perhaps if Monty were to let it go he could-
“leave it” a reminder to stay strong echoed through the surface area of his large ears. How long could this be? An eternity? For certain this would be enough to prove his devotion!
“Okay” The golden word signaling release and acceptance caused his eyes to gleam as he grabbed his reward enthusiatically.
Another day fighting evil well spent. Until tomorrow, demons, until tomorrow.
