single subtool transparency

Got a bizarre but neat effect, I popped my model into Projection Master to add some paint. When i jumped out all of my models were self transparent when in polyframe mode, I was able to use transpose on them but no brushes worked at all. Changing material/paint, redrawing with zadd/rgb at 100 did nothing. Had to restart.
I’m wondering if there is a normal way to turn this on/off because it could come in useful.
Just to be clear they were transparent within themselves, with no other subtools visible.
Attached image, you can see some of the geometry inside the legs, this would be useful for moving/rotating/scaling without having to use multiple subtools.

ZBrush behaves weirdly when a tool is drawn to the document with anything less than 100% Z/RGB strength. At lower values the model will look transparent (even with polyframe, much like this), and at values as high as 99 the model might appear correct but still won’t allow for sculpting.

There’s currently a bug with Projection Master that will cause the Z/RGB values to switch to whatever the current 2.5D tool is set to. It possibly triggers when an autosave occurs while in this mode. The solution is to normally exit edit mode, clear the document, set the values back to 100, and redraw the tool.

redrawing with zadd/rgb at 100 did nothing

That’s the alarming part. Were the model’s normals flipped as well?

Normals were fine, and of course i tried everything, redrawing with full 100, clearing canvas, redraw tool, exit/enter edit etc. I mean it wasn’t a big deal because i was able to save and restart zbrush, but i was hoping someone knew how to replicate this and have the brushes still work cause its pretty neat.
