Since installing the latest zbrush, I have not been able to zoom in close to my model. It locks when i get too close. I’ve tried scaling up my model but this doesn’t work. I have been using Zbrush for years and have never experienced this. Any help appreciated. Im sure its a quick fix but I cant find answers anywhere online.
Hello @David_Wilson
Sorry you’re having some trouble.
Does the problem persist when you quit the program entirely, restart the program, and load one of the default Lightbox tools rather than your previous file?
If the problem persists no matter what tool is loaded, there may be an issue with your program installation and you may need to contact Support.
If the problem only happens for a specific tool in a specific file, the tool may be abnormally sized in the ZBrush worldspace. The ideal working size for a tool in ZBrush is a Tool > Geometry > Size> XYZ size of 2. If the tool has a size that is drastically larger or smaller than this value, it may perform oddly. This video explains some of the reasons why.
You can restore the mesh to the optimum size by using Tool> Deformation> Unify.
Hi Spyndel.
Thanks a lot for you help. It turns out there was a subtool that was way out of scale that was throwing off the whole model, which is strange. Upon deleting this sub tool everything is working fine. Thanks again.
